A shutdown has been averted for now as Congress passed a short-term spending measure Wednesday to keep the government funded through March 18.

But it’s now five months into the current fiscal year, and Congress still has not passed a 2011 budget to fund government through Sept. 30. Instead, Congress has passed a series of stopgap spending bills or continuing resolutions (CRs).

How will Congress fund government for the remaining seven months of the current fiscal year?

Will Congress pass a spending measure funding the government for the remainder of the 2011 fiscal year or will it continue to pass short-term CRs?
Congress will pass a budget for the remainder of FY2011.
Congress will continue to pass short-term CRs.
Don’t know.
