Teri Takai had the rug pulled out from under her nomination for the Defense Department’s assistant secretary for networks and information Integration. That office used to include the post of Chief Information Officer.

But this week the assistant secretary position was eliminated. Under the massive restructuring of DoD, will Takai be nominated to another position?
