After allegations emerged that the Army may have illegally carried out psychological operations on Congressional delegations to secure increased funding for the war in Afghanistan, the commander of operations in the country will investigate the matter, The Hill reports.

According to an official statement, General David Petraeus is “preparing to order an investigation to determine the facts and circumstances surrounding the issue.” The allegations were published in an article in Rolling Stone Magazine.
