March 24, 2015 — Today’s guest is Paul Christman, vice president Public Sector at Dell Software.
Dell has been around since 1984 and is best known for selling hardware. In fact, some will claim they have sold more LCD monitors than any other company.
When Christman was in the studio he took a look at the Dell monitor and talked about the dominance of Dell in the area of LCD sales.
Rather than talking about hardware, this conversation has a focus on software, with an emphasis on managing mobile devices.
Dell has a strong presence in this area, in fact, you can go to the Dell website and download an eBook by Jack Madden called “Enterprise Mobility Management.”
During the discussion we touched on endpoint management for mobile devices, securing a workspace for mobile devices, and securing apps.
Many listeners are engaged in understanding the concept of continuous monitoring for cybersecurity.
Christman elucidates upon real time reporting alert analytics. This feeds directly into a conversation about an audit trail for the myriad of mobile devices that the typical federal information technology professionals have to manage.
