For the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Lunar Landing, the Air and Space museum is rebuilding the lander.
They are using original materials and a lander than never entered space to celebrate the achievement.
Allen Needel is Curator in the Division of Space History of the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum.
He tells us more about the history of the project.
