Trusted identities could replace passwords

NIST\'s Ari Schwartz explains the concept of trusted identities.

Online passwords may soon be a thing of the past. In an effort to enhance online security and privacy the government is teaming with industry to create trusted identities in cyberspace.

The trusted identities would be a voluntary program that will authenticate individuals making transaction in cyberspace. And they’ve just launched a website so you can track the progress.

Ari Schwartz, senior internet policy advisor at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, explained to the DorobekINSIDER why these trusted identities are so important.
