We know that green certified buildings are good for the environment, but they could also be good for your organization’s productivity. In a study published by the American Journal of Public Health, employees reported the perception of taking less sick time after moving into LEED-certified buildings. The study’s authors say that employees could each work about 39 more hours a year because the buildings often have better light, air quality and ventilation. Dr. Sue Grady, Assistant Professor of Geography at the Michigan State University, explains the findings for us.
