Senior Army leaders and Pentagon acquisition chief Ashton Carter have scheduled an Army Modernization Review meeting for December 22nd. The Army Times reports that they’ll discuss the fate of the Early Infantry Brigade Combat Team equipment. The equipment was originally developed for the Future Combat Systems program. They have to decide whether to continue with initial production, and whether to go ahead with testing and evaluation. Army and Pentagon leaders will review the systems’ performance, its military utility and its cost.
