Troops head out with new uniforms

ACU is out, MultiCam is in for troops headed to Afghanistan.

The Army is getting a new look — called MultiCam. More than 3,500 soldiers from Fort Knox, Kentucky, are heading to Afghanistan in new combat uniforms that sport improved camouflage. Army officials say Multicam has seven different shades that blend with all sorts of surrounding environments. The Multicam combat duds are also made from flame-resistant fabric.
