U.S. troops will begin receiving training in February on conduct related to having openly-gay colleagues. Officers and commanders will also be receiving training. It’s all part of the Defense Department’s process for ending the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy. GovExec reports training will start with military leadership. Clifford Stanley is undersecretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness. He says each military branch will have the flexibility to develop training in its own way.
