DoD defends TRICARE increases

DoD officials were on Capitol Hill Tuesday defending their proposed increases to TRICARE premiums.

Members of Congress are putting DoD’s proposed fee hike for TRICARE health care premiums under a microscope. Senior DoD officials testified yesterday before the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Personnel saying the increase they’re suggesting is modest and necessary, if the military is going to keep up with rising health care costs. WFED’s Jared Serbu has details.
