Senator blames legislative cyber stall on White House

A Senate Democrat blasted the Obama administration for holding up passage of cybersecurity legislation that has been subjected to a more than year-long interage...

Federal News Radio has reported that several cybersecurity bills are stalled in the Senate. Now one Senator is pressing the Obama administration to help un-jam things. Rhode Island Democrat Sheldon Whitehouse says it’s up to the President’s minions to tell Congress exactly what they want in a cyber bill before legislation can start moving again.

NextGov reports, Whitehouse secured a promise from Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano to establish a negotiating deadline.

Bills stuck in the Senate cover many cybersecurity issues in the private and public sectors.
