The United States should consider building a new Internet with a .secure domain. Former CIA director Michael Hayden says it would be used for critical services such as banking. And it would be off limits to the general public. NextGov reports, Hayden envisions a network where no one would be anonymous. All users would need special credentials. The U.S. Cyber Command chief, General Keith Alexander, echoed Hayden’s idea. He says those who don’t care about privacy always have Facebook.
