Watch out for Independence Day spam

The holidays are a big time for spammers so be on the lookout.

You may be coming down off that high of hot dogs and fireworks but don’t let your guard down online. Symantec says it’s seeing large volumes of spam email hitting inboxes – luring shoppers with Independence Day deals that may actually be malware or phishing attacks.

InfoSecurity.com reports replica watches, gadgets and outdoor grilling products are always a popular spam theme during holidays.
