A Nazi hacker group is claiming credit for shutting down Twitter yesterday morning. The micro-blogging site said the outage was caused by a server bug, not hackers.

A Nazi hacker group is claiming credit for shutting down Twitter yesterday morning. The micro-blogging site said the outage was caused by a server bug, not hackers.

Search Security reported the Underground Nazi Hacktivist Group, or UG-Nazi, said it launched a denial of service attack.

A spokesman called Cosmo sa UG-Nazi opposes Twitter’s support for the Cyber Intelligence Sharing Protection Act. UG-Nazi is believed to be an offshoot of the nettlesome LulzSec hacker group. Google, Wawa and the Wounded Warrior Project have all been UG-Nazi victims.
