NetworkWorld reports that the National Institute of Standards and Technology is working on updating guidelines for Transport Layer Security. That technology prevents anyone from eavesdropping on Internet communications.
NIST said its updated standard would require newer versions. Some old web servers don’t support the upgrade. So some agencies might need to get new ones. NIST will issue a draft standard in September.
