Federal acquisition personnel continue to face longstanding challenges — including budget instability, declining workforce numbers and a growing demand for more transparency and procurement oversight.

The Professional Services Council, an industry group, and Grant Thornton released the sixth biennial report, “The Balancing Act: Acquisition in an Unabated Crisis,” last month.

Stan Soloway, the President and CEO of the PSC, and Phil Kangas, a principal with Grant Thornton, joined Pentagon Solutions with Francis Rose to discuss the survey and the unresolved challenges it points to.
