Would you like a job that’s bounded by 469 rules enshrined in law? Sounds like a recipe for prison no matter what you do. Contracting officers in the Defense Department deal with those rules every day. The Defense version of the Federal Acquisition Regulation has nearly 500 statutory requirements. Joe Petrillo is a procurement lawyer with the law firm Petrillo & Powell. He explains some of the more obscure but important ones.
