Seven agencies are trying out a new approach to making documents available under the Freedom of Information Act. The Justice Department's Office of Information Policy is spearheading a proactive disclosure effort to measure the cost and effectiveness of making information available as soon as it's requested. Melanie Pustay is the director of the Office of Information Policy at the Justice Department. She joined Jason Miller on the Federal Drive to explain more about the pilot and how it could change federal FOIA processes.
