The Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act created FirstNet. Congress wanted to build the nation's first high speed wireless broadband network dedicated to public safety. FirstNet will eventually put an end to decades of radio interoperability and communications challenges. TJ Kennedy is the president of FirstNet. He joins the Federal Drive with Tom Temin to talk about some of the new developments happening at FirstNet, three years after its establishment.
