The federal Merit Systems Protection Board is charged with hearing appeals of civil service government employees. An issue facing the current board is that it has two vacancies, and Mark Robbins, who serves as vice chairman of the Board, is the only one on the job at this time. How does he do it? Robbins told Federal Drive with Tom Temin that the vacancies haven’t reduced his work load.
