“The biggest issue I notice as a young federal employee is the frustration of bureaucracy. Much of the federal government has become increasingly politicized. Personally, as a young professional, I am focused more on efficiency, and politics and bureaucracy do not lend well to efficiency. When you hire young workers in federal employment, they’ve likely just come from being in the education environment. It is important to build on their momentum, not stall it by squelching their fast pace in the slow quagmire that is government service.”
