Do you know the difference between retirement planning and estate planning? Washington estate planner Tom O'Rourke will explain it when he joins host Mike Causey on...
So what, if anything, is the difference between retirement planning and estate planning? Short answer:
A lot!
That’s according to Washington area attorney Tom O’Rourke who joins host Mike Causey today on “Your Turn”.
O’Rourke is a former fed (with the IRS) who specializes in estate law and he knows the CSRS Offset and FERS retirement programs, and how Long Term Care insurance works.
While most feds don’t think of themselves as having “estates”, O’Rourke says that many — especially those in the Washington area — do have substantial estates.
He will discuss the differences and similarities between estate planning and retirement planning, and when you should start doing both.
