GAO: contract protests hit 15-year high

Bid protests are up, which means so is the workload at GAO. The Government Accountability Office\'s Ralph White explains what\'s involved.

Bid protests are up for the fourth year in a row. In fiscal 2010, contractor protests reached a 15-year high: more than 2,200. Government Accountability Office says most cases were dismissed for procedural reasons, withdrawn, or settled through mediation. Ralph White, Managing Associate General Council for Procurement Law at GAO, breaks the numbers down for us.
