DoD wrongly reports $1.7B in stimulus spending

The Pentagon’s inspector general says his department made big mistakes when it reported spending details on almost $1.7 billion in stimulus, Government Computer News reports.

His report recommends DoD set up a quality assurance plan. He also says the department should set new policies for employees who carry out quality control.

DOD says it’s already implementing the recommendations.
