Information Week surveyed 106 managers, contractors and other IT staff. Only a third of respondents said with certainty that they had not had any security breaches within the past three months.
Competiting priorities and tight finances are challenging agencies.
The survey found they were focused on implementing continuous monitoring initiatives, while considering upgrading firewalls and other standard defenses and improving the security of agency-issued mobile devices.
