Some veterans and some states have been complaining about how federal contractors are providing job opportunities to veterans, and how the Labor Department and Veterans Affairs Department are monitoring compliance with several laws.

Two panels of witnesses offered testimony to the House Veterans Affairs Subcommittee on Economic Opportunity.

The first witness panel included representatives of several veterans groups and state workforce groups.

The second panel featured one representative each from the Labor Department and the VA.
