Appearing before the Senate Appropriations Commerce, Science and Justice subcommittee hearing on the FY2010 budget proposal for the Justice Department, Attorney General Eric Holder faced repeated questions from lawmakers about his plans for closing Guantanamo. He also told lawmakers about plans for gearing up for a potential hiring spree. If Congress approves, Justice would receive a $1 billion increase, and Holder says that would pay for nearly 1,200 new hires.
