The Army’s planned move to migrate its email services to the cloud has been dealt a blow.

A House committee cut funding for the project in the 2012 budget by 98 percent.

The committee also asked the Army to spend the remaining $1.7 million on a business case analysis of the program, including life-cycle costs.

Next Gov reports that the Army will get that part of its budget back once the analysis is completed.
