Marines award contract for new sensor systems

The Marine Corps gives Lockheed Martin a $58.6 million contract. The contract is for vehicle-mounted and portable sensor systems. The systems are needed for remote surveillance on the battlefield. Lockheed Martin will furnish equipment and support services for the Vehicle Optic Sensor Systems 2 and Portable Rapid Deployment Surveillance Systems. Defense Systems reports, Lockheed Martin will provide 110 VOSS 2 and 30 PRDSS, plus additional field services and equipment in support of these systems.
