August 23, 2013 — This week on “Fed Access”, Eric Thompson, vice president and director of Strategic Studies at CNA, joins host Derrick Dortch to talk about the latest political developments in Syria and Egypt, and their impact on U.S. foreign policy.

Thompson will discuss reports of chemical attacks this week in Syria, and how he thinks the United States will respond if the reports prove to be true.

He will also talk about the military take over of the government in Egypt, and explain why it happened, and how the change in leadership will affect the country’s relationship with Israel.
