December 5, 2014 — This week on “Fed Access”, Andrew Traver, director of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), joins host Derrick Dortch to talk about the agency, its mission and his vision for its future.
Traver, who has been on the job for just over a year, also discusses NCIS’ role in fighting terrorism, insider threats and cyber threats, and how a tight budget environment is affecting the agency’s ability to carry out its mission.
He also talks about career opportunities at NCIS, the extensive hiring process that candidates must go through before being hired and how the highly popular NCIS TV show is helping the agency’s recruitment efforts.
