Boko Haram & the drug war in Mexico

March 27, 2015 — This week on “Fed Access”, Mark Schroeder, vice president of Africa analysis at Stratfor, joins host Derrick Dortch to give us an update on the terrorist group Boko Haram.

The Nigeria based group made news recently when it declared allegiance to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant or ISIL.

Schroeder will discuss how that decision will impact U.S. foreign policy, the upcoming presidential election in Nigeria, and efforts to fight terrorism on the African continent.

Later in the show, Tristan Reed, Mexico security analyst for Stratfor, will give us an update on the ongoing drug war in Mexico, and efforts to stop the flow of illegal drugs into the United States.
