June 25, 2010 — Federal law enforcement officers (LEOs) receive information on issues that affect their jobs when they’re in the field.

But what about when they’re not?

This week on FedTalk, guest host Tony Vergnetti will talk with his guests, Jon Adler, president of the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association (FLEOA) and Michelle Gavalek, Associate Executive Director of OmniGov Training, about the things every LEO needs to know: current legislation, training courses, and professional liability insurance.

Adler will discuss the Special Agent Samuel Hicks Families of Fallen Heroes Act and the Postal Inspectors Equity Act.

Gavalek will provide an overview of the classes that OmniGov Training provides specifically for federal LEOs.
