September 23, 2011 — Last week, nine federal employees were honored at the Service to America Medals gala in Washington, D.C.

Recipients of the awards are nominated by their colleagues and come from agencies and programs across the government.

Award categories include the Federal Employee of the Year, the Homeland Security Medal, and the new Management Excellence Medal.

On today’s show, host Debra Roth will be joined by Jim Seymour of the Partnership for Public Service, and several medal winners.

They will talk about the outstanding work being done by federal employees.
