• Food Network alum, vanquisher of Bobby Flay on his own “Throwdown,” and top- notch chef, Teddy Folkman, has a new gig as co-owner and exec chef of BarOak Cookhouse& Taproom in Annapolis. He’s in with tastes and talk of his new spot.
• Gourmet food trucks have taken to the streets in DC. Che Ruddell-Tabisola is the executive director of the DMV Food Truck Association and in talking about the first Capital City Food Truck Convention in April.
• Love your butt? You’d better. According to Michael Sapienza, Chris4Life founder, loving your butt and making sure it’s healthy is essential to avoid colon cancer. This is Colon Cancer Awareness Week, and Michael is in to chat about all the associated events.
• The whiskey dudes are here. Whiskey Live recently was held in DC and it’s a national event that promotes understanding of and appreciation for all the distilled brown drinks that make the world go ‘round (and ‘round and ‘round!). Dave Sweet, Whiskey Live founder, is in with Robin Robinson of Compass Box Whiskey Co. and Ewan Morgan and Gregor Cattanach of Diageo to discuss the finer pints of whiskey and to help is sample a bevy of ‘em.
