The Department of Homeland Security is accepting public comments until April 13 on how it can change, streamline or repeal regulations.
DHS is using the IdeaScale public engagement tool to collect input.
“We are committed to continuing to increase efficiency, transparency and accountability in the regulatory process,” said Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano in a statement today. “I look forward to working with the American people and the business community to determine how DHS regulations can best serve the interests of the public.”
The department’s call for comment is in response to a executive order issued in January by President Obama for agencies to review regulations, including identifying inconsistencies and overlap.
