The job outlook is getting better for people in the health IT industry. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that jobs in medical records and health IT are expected to grow by 20 percent through 2018. Health IT officials believe 50,000 of those new jobs will be created during the healthcare industry’s transition from paper to digital. Health IT is becoming one of the hottest career options for recent grads and many universities are expanding their health IT programs.
