POLL: Will cuts to e-gov fund impact your job?

Congress slashed funds to open government websites. Will these cuts impact the way feds\' do their jobs?

The budget compromise to fund government for the next six months includes cuts to the Electronic Government or E-gov fund. Congress appropriated $8 million to the fund, compared with $34 million for fiscal year 2011.

The fund pays for open government sites, including Data.gov, USAspending.gov and the IT dashboard, which tracks government IT spending.

As Federal News Radio reported last month, the Office of Management and Budget already was making contingency plans to begin taking some of the public websites offline as soon as late May.

Do you rely on open gov websites to do your job? How will the cuts impact your ability to do your job?
