Raising money during a global economic crisis is tough, at the very least. But our next guest did it, and to the government’s benefit. Former Treasury Department Office of Debt Management Director Karthik Ramanathan raised $1.7 Trillion dollars by selling Treasury bills during the recession. Karthik Ramanathan is a finalist in the SAMMIES National Security and International Affairs category, and he joins us to discuss his accomplishment.
