The Pentagon will continue to study the effects of a possible change that would let gays serve openly in the military. The Senate voted on Tuesday to block debate on the 2011 defense authorization bill, which contains a provision that would repeal “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” but a Pentagon spokesman says DoD’s work on the subject will continue. Defense has been studying the effects of a possible repeal and they’re working on a plan to implement the change if it happens. A final report is due to the Secretary of Defense on December first.
