Agencies not on track for cyber surveillance

A recent report by the Center for Strategic and International Studies shows agencies are behind

Few agencies are on track to meet a November 15 deadline to begin reporting on real-time network surveillance.

The effort dates back to April, when the Obama administration asked agencies to begin fulltime monitoring for cybersecurity threats. Reports are supposed to be fed into a collection box called Cyberscope.

NextGov reports a tally by the Center for Strategic and International Studies shows only one in six of 24 major agencies will have its monitoring program in place on time.
