The federal government’s push to make the information technology pieces of government work better is officially on. The Office of Management and Budget recently announced a major restructuring plan. Part of that plan involves implementing a cloud-first policy. But what will be the larger impact of using open source solutions? That issue is being addressed in a recent report by IDC Government Insights. Shawn McCarthy, research director with IDC, joins us with a look at the report.
