The war effort in Afghanistan is mainly the work of U.S. troops, but U.S. civilian advisors are also hard at work in that difficult country. And they are frequently in harm’s way. They’re part of a pilot project called the Ministry of Defense Advisors Program. Joining us with more information are two leaders of the program: Kelly Uribe, Senior Policy Lead and Program Manager for the Ministry of Defense Advisors Program, and Rick Pollitt, Senior Civilian Advisor in Kabul for DoD. He advises the Afghan Ministry of Interior.
