Camp Lejeune is about to take delivery of a special type of fuel. The Marine Corps Base will receive biodiesel fuel that is grown, processed, and blended exclusively in North Carolina. Officials are calling it a watershed event in the military’s ongoing effort to increase its use of domestically-produced renewable fuel. The initiative is called “Fuel the Force;” it is a partnership between North Carolina’s military and agriculture industries.
