The Strategic Capabilities Office is one of the most lauded organizations in the Defense Department. The office is famous for, in its own words, “taking military systems that do one thing and make them do something completely different.” And its leader says his office doesn’t have to worry about acquisition requirements like the rest of the Pentagon establishment. Federal News Radio’s Scott Maucione has more.

When the Navy raised up the sunken Civil War Confederate submarine Hunley a few years back, it put a spotlight on the Navy’s History and Heritage Command. That was back in 2000. Now there’s an update. For more details about the command and the Hunley, principal investigator Robert Neyland.
