With no fewer than three different panels examining defense acquisition rules to see which ones can be done away with, they have got their work cut out for them. There is plenty of evidence to show that defense acquisitions may need even more scrutiny. That could mean whatever recommendations the panels make may are muted by legislators looking to enact more rules.
