Federal agencies and contractors are no strangers to bid protests. But if you’re the bidder, protests can be an expensive proposition.
A company called Livanta is stuck with legal fees after related to its bid for a contract with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Livanta protested the loss and lost the protest. The company asked the Government Accountability Office to make CMS pay its legal fees. GAO said no.
