November 15, 2013 — This week on “Fed Access”, Mark Schroeder, vice president of Africa analysis at Stratfor, joins host Derrick Dortch to talk about a terrorist group now operating in Nigeria.
This week, the group Boko Haram was designated as a foreign terrorist organization by the U.S. State Department.
Schroeder will discuss the history of Boko Haram, why the state department put it on the FTO list, what that designation means, and what the rise of terrorist groups in Nigeria and other African countries mean for U.S. business interests on the continent.
