This week on “Fed Access”, Evan Lesser, founder and director of ClearanceJobs.com, joins host Derrick Dortch to talk about how the OPM Cyber breach has impacted federal workers with security clearances.
Lesser gives his thoughts on how he believes the hackers will use the information they obtained, and he discusses the long term and short term damage that the cyber attack has done to the reputation of federal government, and whether it will prevent highly skilled people from going to work for federal agencies because of fears that the government can’t protect their information.
Finally Lesser gives us an update on the clearance job market, saying 2015 has been a banner year with job openings in homeland security, defense and intelligence.
He also says private sector companies that are involved in cybersecurity, cloud computing, and mobile development are hiring workers with security clearances.
